Fourth Annual FOTAS Hunter Pace

The Fourth Annual FOTAS Hunter/Pace and Luncheon was a resounding success! A significant amount of revenue was raised for the Aiken County Animal Shelterwith all proceeds directly benefiting the new shelter.   This event would not be possible without the use of the Three Runs Plantation's beautiful trails and clubhouse.  The Homeowners Association and developer Wayne Raiford provide extraordinary support year after year.   Special thanks is sent to the Aiken horse community for its continuing strong participation in this event.  Also showing support again this year was the wonderfully generous Cedar Creek Community.

Many FOTAS volunteers worked hard to make this an organized, fun event for everyone.   The core group of Ann and Larry Mitchell, Nanci and Steve Santos, Nick Bridges, South Aiken High School's Valorie VanceSusan Hamlin and the 9 Serteens, Edie Hubler, Juli Hearn, Lisa Groft and Linda Vola carried the day with their enthusiasm and dedication to the County Animal Shelter.

Numerous local businesses helped insure the money raised went directly to the animals.  Owner John Stanley of The Red Pepper Cafe provided not only the delicious food, but worked the entire day cooking and serving the lunch.  A special thanks also to All Star Tents & Events,  Floral Gallery Aiken, The Aiken Horse magazine, Howell Printingand Sally Mccreey, DVM.  And the signature highlight of the event were once again the over 400 homemade cup cakes, baked by the CupCake Ladies of the communities of Cedar Creek and Three Runs Plantation.

Happy New Year to all.  We'll see you at the next Hunter Pace on January 4, 2014, so hold the date!

Mary Lou Welch, Joya DiStafano, Jennifer Miller and the entire FOTAS Community
