The Friends of the Animal Shelter – Aiken County (FOTAS) is a nonprofit 501(c)(3), volunteer organization created in 2009 to supplement the resources of the Aiken County Animal Shelter in the care of over 4,000 homeless and abandoned animals consigned to its care each year. FOTAS is wholly funded by private donations.
The mission of FOTAS is to support the Aiken County Animal Shelter by promoting animal welfare, responsible pet ownership, and the elimination of euthanasia of all adoptable animals.

Adopter: The Moyers
Adoption Date: December 2021

“An update on Prancer aka (now knowns as) Baby Bear Moyer. We waited a couple days to see what his personality was before naming him. He never pranced but he certainly is cuddly and affectionate. He is definitely a Baby Bear!!! He is so adorable and lovable like Winnie the Pooh Bear.
His big brother, Rocket J. Moyer loves him! Bear has already learned to climb and jump on the towers.
Baby Bear loves chin and belly rubs and he already has favorite toys: a chirpy bird toy and cloth fishing pole. He is eating and drinking just fine and has already learned ’snack time’! He has adjusted really well to his new home. So much so that Bear has already contacted Chewy for a special delivery!
Thank you!”
